PEMF for Midlife: A Simpler Way to Support Sleep, Stress, and Recovery - Byanka McClain - HAELO (Episode 133)
About this episode
If your body feels like it is always switched on, being told to “just relax” is not exactly helpful. Midlife already comes with enough stress, disrupted sleep, travel, workouts, work, family, and mental load. The bigger question is: how do you actually help your body recover when slowing down is not always realistic?
In this episode of The Well Drop, I sit down with Byanka McClain, CFO of HAELO, to talk about PEMF, or Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, and why this has become one of the few wellness tools I keep reaching for at home. I know PEMF can sound a little futuristic, so we break down what it actually is, how the technology has evolved from big clinical machines into something you can use from your couch, and why I started paying much more attention to it for sleep, stress, travel, and recovery.
Byanka McClain has been part of HAELO since 2019, helping take the company from early R&D into the at-home system it is today. She is also a working mother of three, so this conversation is very much about making recovery fit into real life. We get into what women should know before trying PEMF, the different ways people are using it, and why the most useful wellness routine may be the one that asks the least from you when your body already feels maxed out.
What’s Discussed
(09:34) The decades-old recovery technology most women still have never heard of.
(10:50) What is actually happening when PEMF interacts with the body, and why frequency matters.
(15:43) Why Amber started noticing that travel hits differently in midlife, and what she reaches for afterward.
(16:34) The one change HAELO users report noticing most often.
(22:15) What constant “go mode” may be doing to your ability to truly recover.
(24:35) How PEMF can be used differently depending on what your body needs that day.
(33:11) Why the real results may come from what happens after you stop expecting an instant fix.
If recovery has started feeling harder than it should, you are going to want to hear this one.

THE WELL DROP
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's something I know about you. [SPEAKER_01]: You are not short on information and you definitely know a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Yet, you're still not feeling the way you want to feel. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not a U-problem. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a foundation problem. [SPEAKER_01]: And here's the reality. [SPEAKER_01]: There has never been a clear roadmap for this chapter of midlife. [SPEAKER_01]: Until now, I built the well-drop because I was hired of piecing it together, too. [SPEAKER_01]: I was tired of
[SPEAKER_01]: protocols that were never built for this body at the stage in the season of life. [SPEAKER_01]: So I built the roadmap. [SPEAKER_01]: Every Sunday, one drop lands in your inbox, one habit, one clear upgrade, just for where you are right now. [SPEAKER_01]: No noise, no overwhelmed, just what actually moves in needle. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't need more information. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to build a wellness lifestyle for midlife. [SPEAKER_01]: That's it. [SPEAKER_01]: Subscribe at theweljoff.com or click the link in the show notes right now before this [SPEAKER_01]: you forget.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see you inside.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hello and welcome to The Wild Drop with me, Amber Berger, a podcast for Wellness Meet Simplicity, empowering you to own your wellness, starting at home. [SPEAKER_02]: Each episode we dive into things we wish we were warned about, and explore practical street forward strategies designed for busy days like you. [SPEAKER_02]: Whether you're juggling meetings, running errands, or managing family life, I'm here to help sift through the noise and show you how integrating wellness into your daily routine can be simple and stress-free.
[SPEAKER_02]: find out how by tuning in to today's well-drapped.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, and welcome back. [SPEAKER_02]: Today, I want to talk about something that's become a genuine staple in our home. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not a trend that I tried once and shoved into a closet because if I did, we wouldn't be talking about it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a tool that my whole family actually reaches for, and one that I've been using for a few years now. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a PEMF device called Hillow. [SPEAKER_02]: I first discovered it at the Biohacking Conference, which is one of the places I've been going to since 2019 to sift through the wellness noise and find what actually works best for us women in midlife.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know that we all know that what the deal is, life is busy, stress is real, most of us are running on empty with no real way to recover. [SPEAKER_02]: We're just told to breathe, slow down, distress, I mean easier said than done. [SPEAKER_02]: But it's not always possible, so you can't think your way out of a body that's actually stuck in go mode, and I am probably as guilty of that as a most. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm so excited to talk about walking you through what I discovered and introduce you to Bianca McLean.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's a CFO behind Halo. [SPEAKER_02]: Hello is a PMF device and that stands for post electro magnetic fields and in plain terms, you place this device on your body, you choose a program in the app and it works with your body at the cellular level to come your nervous system, you can speed up recovery, you can restore your energy, it's really simple to use and it does the work for you effortlessly, so that's kind of. [SPEAKER_02]: the name and the game for me. [SPEAKER_02]: I want all wellness at home to be easy and stressed free.
[SPEAKER_02]: She knows this technology inside and out from the science to the story. [SPEAKER_02]: So here's what I love. [SPEAKER_02]: She's also a mother of three and she's living the exact life so many of us are with the [SPEAKER_02]: The stress, the mental load of caring for everyone, plus working, but she's also using the same tools in her own home with her kids to recover and stay grounded. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's a perspective I want you to hear from someone who understands it deeply and lives it daily.
[SPEAKER_02]: So here's what we're going to unpack today, and why you're going to want to stick around. [SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the day, there are a few minutes that I use with halo at home to come and over-simulated nervous system. [SPEAKER_02]: It can help pull your body out of go mode. [SPEAKER_02]: I do use it on my kids as well. [SPEAKER_02]: So this way, you can actually unwind and sleep like a baby. [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the number one thing all of us will be the midlife ones faster recovery.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've used this on my kids also for injuries, as well as myself and my husband, the science of how PEMF can help support your body at this cellular level to speed healing and help you bounce back from injuries or hard days at the gym all from your couch on quick short sessions. [SPEAKER_02]: And also energy and immune system support. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a benefit that almost no one really talks about how a quick and daily reset at home can help you sustain your energy and support your immune system.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you stay strong as the season shifts and everyone around you starts to get run down. [SPEAKER_01]: Bianca, thank you so much for being here. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's drop in. [SPEAKER_02]: I always love to start. [SPEAKER_02]: with something personal. [SPEAKER_02]: I like to learn how you discovered PMF because maybe most people listening have never even heard this term before. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for having me. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, 10 years ago, you could've told me PMF and I would've said, what is that?
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's exactly what happened. [SPEAKER_03]: My journey actually started with my career. [SPEAKER_03]: I've been in the finance world since I was 18 years old, going to school, working at the same time, I've always just kind of, [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I've been a hard worker and along the way, I did start my own practice and I came across a client of mine that was starting a start of company with the PEMF device, which again had no idea what that was like what I just had my first child and [SPEAKER_03]: I was dealing with postpartum, just aches, aches, and, you know, my body just was not the same.
[SPEAKER_03]: I did not feel like myself and my client said, let me come over and I'm going to do a couple treatments on you in. [SPEAKER_03]: At that time, that PEMF device was a 50 pound machine with these knobs and these cords and I had no idea what it was. [SPEAKER_03]: It was very intimidating. [SPEAKER_03]: And he just said, it's frequency therapy, just let go and let me do some work on you. [SPEAKER_03]: And that was my first experience at PEMF again 10 years ago. [SPEAKER_03]: And my body just my nervous system just shut like relaxed and where I wasn't able to lay flat on my back, my back just fell flat in my hips finally landed like pancakes like amazing after one session.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I became a believer. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, I need to know about this product. [SPEAKER_03]: I need to know more. [SPEAKER_03]: And he just happened to say, look, we're startup. [SPEAKER_03]: We need a finance, a head of finance. [SPEAKER_03]: We need to see a foe. [SPEAKER_03]: Would you want to join the team in a while? [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: And so I became part of this team. [SPEAKER_03]: This startup team and it was incredible because they were doing such good work, very meaningful work.
[SPEAKER_03]: not only, you know, trying to sell devices, but like creating, you know, non-profit roles and trying to help people with autoimmune diseases and other types of, you know, illnesses that could not be figured out in the Western medicine world. [SPEAKER_03]: So it was very meaningful work, but it also it got to a point where I needed to shift my energy from that to something more where how can we make PEM have more accessible to everyday people just for general wellness. [SPEAKER_03]: just for the healthy person that wants to stay healthy and create a good wellness routine for their family.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's where I met our Halo CEO and founder probably six years into the previous company and he was in the same mindset of trying to create some sort of less intimidating device, very portable, and push to play, you know, let's create some sort of app words like not intimidating, [SPEAKER_03]: I want to feel calm. [SPEAKER_03]: I want to relax my nervous system. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's fight calm, or my body's aching. [SPEAKER_03]: I need to recover. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's play recover.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, that's kind of where I ended up with Halo. [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, I was part of the founding stage of Halo and created this beautiful product. [SPEAKER_03]: that's where I'm at now. [SPEAKER_02]: And yet for the most people who've never experienced PMF before, usually they're in a more clinical setting. [SPEAKER_02]: And like you mentioned it is just like really big machine. [SPEAKER_02]: It seems like kind of futuristic like what is this energy it's sitting like they put a device on you.
[SPEAKER_02]: And for me, I've been doing it a couple years before I discovered that I was doing it at like my acupuncturist actually. [SPEAKER_02]: And I never necessarily could feel a change because I was doing it more from a preventative standpoint of just like trying to stay balanced and just optimizing, but it definitely have used it to help recover faster from an injury for my son, like he's a big paddle player. [SPEAKER_02]: So we've definitely used it for that. [SPEAKER_02]: And I've seen him heel faster with a doctor's or surprise by the progress with that in a combination of infrared sauna.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that was like the golden double whammy. [SPEAKER_02]: But for most people, I think was so interesting but hello in my, I fell in love with this. [SPEAKER_02]: I never saw a device I was at for home use and so simple and easy to use that for any person like my son can navigate it alone. [SPEAKER_02]: So, because my husband, you don't need some big instruction manual in order to operate it. [SPEAKER_02]: You just turn it on. [SPEAKER_02]: You guys have an app. [SPEAKER_02]: You choose what you're kind of, [SPEAKER_02]: what you're feeling like you need to work on for the day and that's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I want to go into the technology so the people understand this isn't some new technology that's been, you know, that just got created. [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's gone back even to, is it NASA days that they were using this technology for it to help the astronauts recover? [SPEAKER_02]: Can you tell us a little bit about them? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it's it's very old technology. [SPEAKER_03]: It's I mean, I think it's over 50 years old over 10,000 published studies clinical studies out there on PMF, I think early days in the 70s, they used it for bone healing and recovery, you know, NASA used it for their astronauts, but [SPEAKER_03]: Again, just like you stated, it wasn't very huge clunky type of machinery, very intimidating.
[SPEAKER_03]: You would have to go to some sort of hospital or specialist office to use some sort of technology like this, you know, and it costs a fortune. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, people just didn't know how to optimize at that time and how to, you know, make it more cost efficient. [SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, and that's kind of where we're at today, the evolution I would say, you know, where, [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, the futuristic part of the EMF at this point is that we've been able to create this old huge technology that was not simple into this, like, very, you know, attainable, lightweight, portable app driven, more so futuristic version of a PEMF device, so it's not this giant clunky coil in a clinic or anything like that or a huge, you know, other type of machinery.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking a quick moment to share something with you because the number one question I get asked is, where do I even start? [SPEAKER_01]: Lucky for you, you don't have to figure that out because I already did the work for you. [SPEAKER_01]: And I've built it over the last 10 years. [SPEAKER_01]: It's called The Well Drop Blueprint. [SPEAKER_01]: No prep, no planning, just open your email every morning for 14 days and get one habit, one clear upgrade that tells you exactly what to do that day.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's your permission slip. [SPEAKER_01]: It's never too early and it's also never too late to start. [SPEAKER_01]: The women doing this right now range from their early 30s to their 80s because building is solid while this foundation works at every age. [SPEAKER_01]: And the sooner you start, the faster you will feel the difference. [SPEAKER_01]: The reality is women are doing great things but off a rocky foundation.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's simple, it's clear, and delivered to your inbox. [SPEAKER_01]: Go to the wilddrop.com right now or click the link in your show notes, open tomorrow's email, it's your starting point to building a wellness foundation that helps make everything else you do work better. [SPEAKER_01]: Upgrade your wellness right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: And can we explain, like, what exactly is PMF? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, so the people can understand. [SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's in that, from a scientific standpoint, it's in the quantum energy field of study is what I would assume. [SPEAKER_02]: So what is it that's being, what is this electromagnetic frequency that's being used? [SPEAKER_02]: And why are there different, are there different settings for different strengths of them? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, how do we explain it to someone who's just like, what in the world is this?
[SPEAKER_02]: What are you talking about? [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so Paul's selected magnetic field frequencies are pulsed in, so what we use is we use a magnetic coil. [SPEAKER_03]: So the coil itself puts the frequencies directly into the cells. [SPEAKER_03]: And so we stay within a certain range of hertz that are safe, okay, don't go over, I believe, 15,000 hertz don't quote me because I'm not the head of science.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a certain numbers and frequencies that have been shown to have these different, I don't want to call it like recovery elements. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes, there's recovery frequencies that are in certain numbers that will produce recovery, will produce a certain outcome. [SPEAKER_03]: And so our software engineer has produced those specific outcomes for each program that [SPEAKER_03]: to create, you know, nervous system relief, or if we want some sort of energy groups to give you some sort of energy, some restorations and replenishment.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's all these different hurts. [SPEAKER_03]: And the way we do it, Halo is we have layered our frequencies. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's not these like one set frequencies of six, six, six hearts and seven, eight hearts. [SPEAKER_03]: And so it's in that's common just to blend them on most. [SPEAKER_02]: PEM devices. [SPEAKER_02]: So just so that we could be clear that I think so most PEMF is sort of like single frequencies and what's unique about yours is you have like multiple and you can also like blend and create your own custom programs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: That's right. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's more gentle on the body is received a lot easier on the body because that's the way our body, where electric our body is not one freak was the out of time. [SPEAKER_03]: We're dealing with so many. [SPEAKER_03]: And yes, to your point about there are batteries, you can see, I mean, even, you know, the EMS, you know, that we do with our phones that are always next to us, that our computers are, you know, TVs. [SPEAKER_03]: So there's just so much that we deal with our Wi-Fi in our home.
[SPEAKER_03]: We almost
[SPEAKER_03]: regular self. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think for most people listening, the way that I think about it is that we forget that we're electrical beings. [SPEAKER_02]: You have to think about when somebody's having a heart attack, what are they putting on your heart to like wake it back up? [SPEAKER_02]: That's electricity. [SPEAKER_02]: And so our bodies actually hold a frequency for some reason. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure my kids are learning right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Like biology, and we can have this conversation.
[SPEAKER_02]: My son just, he's going into a high school. [SPEAKER_02]: So in eighth grade, they were learning this. [SPEAKER_02]: And it all makes sense to an eighth grade. [SPEAKER_02]: But for some reason from eighth grade to now, we forget about the foundation principles of things at the cellular level, about their being quantum energetic fields, like the ocean, right, rises, [SPEAKER_02]: and falls the moon. [SPEAKER_02]: It's all connected. [SPEAKER_02]: So this isn't so some pseudo science.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like this is like real science from like you said a long time ago and that because our environment is so toxic now and we can only control what we can control what I love is that I actually think it's sort of resetting our mind that we have to kind of rebalance our energy almost every day. [SPEAKER_02]: because we are met with so many frequencies. [SPEAKER_02]: Like if you happen to drive an electric car, there's a lot of frequency that's going through your body every single day that you get in the car.
[SPEAKER_02]: The phone is another one. [SPEAKER_01]: All of our electronics in our home are all through Bluetooth. [SPEAKER_01]: So we have, [SPEAKER_02]: a lot of frequencies that our body wasn't always used to being surrounded by and I think that might be the crux of why so many people are having these issues today is because our nervous system is out of sync and it's not anyone's fault like it's just an environmental thing so now this tool for me specifically how I like to use it is a kind of reset at the end of the day to bring you back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, very well said. [SPEAKER_03]: And you know, even those who travel a lot to, you know, going to the airports. [SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, there's a whole reset. [SPEAKER_03]: We have a whole travel program just for that because we know how much how all the rated there's so much radio frequencies in airplanes people are much about that. [SPEAKER_02]: And actually I started using it. [SPEAKER_02]: even more once I started traveling even more for work in the last two years that has been huge for me because I was saying as you get older maybe it's my age or what but I've become much more sensitive to travel so my body has a harder time recovery I noticed it more through like bloating like why am I holding water like what's going on from travel and then I realized you had the travel I think you probably told me you're like wait why don't you use the travel frequency knows that you didn't even realize you're right and that has been [SPEAKER_02]: you know, such a shift for me.
[SPEAKER_02]: What have since you've been with the companies since the beginning, in your own experience, like what have you watched transformations that have happened for people? [SPEAKER_02]: Like what are some of the top benefits you are constantly hearing, day in and day out, and we'll see all. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, number one is sleep. [SPEAKER_03]: Hands down. [SPEAKER_03]: That's like the number one feedback rega, like people that just some people just don't sleep. [SPEAKER_03]: Some people really most that's number one.
[SPEAKER_03]: And after using halo, even, you know, friends to have come over that, you know, talk about, oh, we've got you haven't been able to sleep, you know, also talking about over stimulation, if you're on your phone at night, you're not going to sleep well, you know, so, you know, put the halo on you before you go to bed, and almost every time I get people like, wow, I actually slept last night, and if you have a biomarker, if you have some sort of tracking device, [SPEAKER_03]: I'm feeling your sleep score.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my goodness, people like I haven't had this much of this higher but sleep score and so you know ever. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's there's definitely proof in the numbers. [SPEAKER_03]: Great. [SPEAKER_03]: I love that. [SPEAKER_03]: What's another one like a number two? [SPEAKER_03]: A number two, well, mainly I would say injury support. [SPEAKER_03]: Recovery is actually a number one play program overall. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: I think people usually come to it, does it lie in like physical therapy offices, chiropractic?
[SPEAKER_02]: There is like where they sort of like the early adopters of this technology as it kind of moved out of maybe like the hospital clinical setting and became [SPEAKER_02]: more. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: I just wanted to say that like you said, you're acupuncturist, acropractors. [SPEAKER_03]: And right now, it we're really blowing up specifically. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, low, I think because the portability in the universities and professional athletes. [SPEAKER_03]: So all of our trainers all, you know, we've become really close to the training facilities and, you know, we have amazing amazing turns right now with these universities setting up the recovery rooms.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they're realizing how important recovery is from the university age before they go off into the pros. [SPEAKER_03]: How important that is to get them into a recovery routine before they go off. [SPEAKER_03]: So they can last. [SPEAKER_02]: That's like music to my ears, I couldn't agree more. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I ended up using that on my own children. [SPEAKER_02]: But I do see the injury rates. [SPEAKER_02]: I'd be so curious to like see what the numbers must be. [SPEAKER_02]: Because kids are choosing an individual sports so much younger.
[SPEAKER_02]: The rates of injury are so much higher because it's a repetitive use of the same muscles versus being a multi-sport kid up until high school. [SPEAKER_02]: And then choosing, now they're choosing as early as [SPEAKER_02]: even lover school or middle school. [SPEAKER_02]: And these kids, they need some more recovery tools. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm seeing that that has been like a big shift, just even in my own experience. [SPEAKER_02]: So I'd love to see that you guys are using that to the universities.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that'll be a game changer for. [SPEAKER_02]: them for injury prevention down the road. [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: And just personally, my husband has had to knee surgeries been a great tool for his recovery, even his PT has been like, what, what have you been doing? [SPEAKER_03]: You know, like they can't even comprehend if they haven't heard of the EMF. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So, [SPEAKER_03]: It's really cool to see that and then, you know, as I've explained, you know, as a mom as a postpartum help and even just I have a one year old so even it's been a tool for 10 years for me just kind of bouncing back and getting, you know, my hormones and nervous system back and order so I can show up as a better mom.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love to hear that. [SPEAKER_02]: And most people, like, think, if they are familiar with PMF, they may think of, like, a PMF mat. [SPEAKER_02]: Can we talk about, is that similar to what we were talking about earlier, like the frequency of the mat, the difference of the mat versus the coil, because it's a circular disc for anyone who [SPEAKER_02]: hasn't seen halo before. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a disc that you can place on your body versus like laying on a full Mac. [SPEAKER_02]: Can you describe the difference of the two?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So number one, Matt's a pretty clunky. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's not easy as as easy as portable as the halo, you know, device in the coil that you can just easily pack up. [SPEAKER_03]: And you kind of have to have a like a set space. [SPEAKER_03]: If you want it, you have it for at home. [SPEAKER_03]: You have a set space for your mat and everything to use that. [SPEAKER_03]: We're a halo. [SPEAKER_03]: You can kind of move it around the house. [SPEAKER_03]: But mats typically what they have is smaller coils built on the inside of the mat.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so they also are coil base, but they're smaller and kind of spread out. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's not as targeted. [SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of more like general full body. [SPEAKER_03]: where, hey, load, you have that one very powerful coil and that the center of it is the most targeted and powerful space. [SPEAKER_03]: So if you have any type of aches and pains in your lower body, I mean, your lower back or in your knee or wherever it is and you want to target, you can target that area or if you just want general wellness, that circular foil reaches up to six feet circumference.
[SPEAKER_03]: So if you put it at the center of your body, it's going to reach your full body. [SPEAKER_03]: Or like I like to put it in the middle of me and my husband before bed and it reaches both of us. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I love that. [SPEAKER_02]: I have no way on the couch usually. [SPEAKER_02]: We have ours in our den. [SPEAKER_02]: So while the kids are watching TV or night if they're even reading a book or actually even doing homework. [SPEAKER_02]: I've stuck it on them. [SPEAKER_02]: But the funniest thing is you'll see that the dog will come anytime I have it on.
[SPEAKER_02]: What is it that my dog always comes over to it. [SPEAKER_02]: They must are they like, there's like a gravitational pull for them. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you have a dog at home. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't, but it's. [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen it multiple times I've heard from multiple customers that their dogs love halo and we've actually been trying we've developed a developing, you know, kind of just a phyto program for our for our pets so I'm going to get the benefit to because they love it and you know, I almost feel like it's a, you know, like a dog or so like they can almost hear the frequencies and they feel the smoothness and they just want it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's exciting to see. [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's like the best sign. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, getting back to, you know, stress, especially or sort of like coming into fall, you know, depending on where you live. [SPEAKER_02]: It's back to school time. [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like that shift from like something, you know, the summer could be a little bit more relaxing, a little bit more laid back to like, go, go, go schedule schedule. [SPEAKER_02]: chaos. [SPEAKER_02]: How does the stress-frequency work on our nervous system?
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what is it actually doing to us? [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe if it's like on a cellular level? [SPEAKER_02]: Because I think for women, I have like probably some conscious stress because I am [SPEAKER_02]: You know, a high performer, I'm go go go all the time. [SPEAKER_02]: That's how I thrive. [SPEAKER_02]: I love it. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to slow down. [SPEAKER_02]: And I do sleep decently, but I feel like at some point, that's probably I need to like also like, I love to knock myself out.
[SPEAKER_02]: What is that frequency doing from the nervous system standpoint? [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we couldn't have said, we're so overstimulated as we were talking about just the general overall world at this time. [SPEAKER_03]: But of course, we do it ourselves too as high performers and we have to get, you know, we're coming back to school. [SPEAKER_03]: So we have to get school schedules and order, we have to get sports schedules and order. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's like the all this pressure we put on ourselves, it's breaking down our nervous system.
[SPEAKER_03]: We are like in fight or flight mode at all times. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's not healthy. [SPEAKER_03]: And again, kind of talking about being the best mom version that I can be to my children. [SPEAKER_03]: I always need to be able to use my halo before bed and use calm and harmonize or grounding, you know, even in the mornings doing like a meditation. [SPEAKER_03]: and doing a grounding program so that I can feel ready for the day and a very, you know, parasitic state where it's not I'm like ready to like yell at these kids to hurry up and get out of the house, you know?
[SPEAKER_02]: I like that as like a perfect frequency of like how to start the day. [SPEAKER_02]: Can we go through because you have so many different types of frequencies just to kind of get people's minds thinking of like the different styles that are even available to them? [SPEAKER_02]: Can you go through just like rattle off a list of the different type of frequencies that people can utilize and also maybe how long sometimes those sessions maybe? [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes. [SPEAKER_03]: So they're really cool thing about Halo again, push to play.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's app driven. [SPEAKER_03]: So any type of benefit you may want. [SPEAKER_03]: We possibly have it already developed or it's going to be coming out soon because we have so much in the arsenal that hasn't been released yet. [SPEAKER_03]: So we have two set playlists that are one is recovery one is performance. [SPEAKER_03]: So recovery is really set to. [SPEAKER_03]: common nervous system to help it recover. [SPEAKER_03]: So my favorite go to is calm and recover. [SPEAKER_03]: We also have relief in there.
[SPEAKER_03]: We also have harmonize in there. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, harmonizes great. [SPEAKER_03]: We also, you know, in the performance side, we have kind of more things to get you going. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe if you want some energy boost, maybe you want mental clarity like a focus. [SPEAKER_03]: or prepare for a meeting, or you want to go get a good workout, put you a power of frequency set. [SPEAKER_03]: Right, one of my go-to's with the performance side is called replenish. [SPEAKER_03]: I just love the, so basically it's almost like a nutrient uptake, and it helps you replenish the body from, kind of like from your electrolytes, your nutrients, your, you know, all the supplements we take, it almost helps you really take it into the cells.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's in a quick one. [SPEAKER_03]: It's only seven minutes. [SPEAKER_03]: So I love running replenish. [SPEAKER_03]: And then we have our premium playlist. [SPEAKER_03]: So the premium playlist is the ongoing growing playlist. [SPEAKER_03]: So the first two playlist recovery and performance. [SPEAKER_03]: They come with your device with the purchase of advice. [SPEAKER_03]: The premium playlist is a subscription based playlist only because we're it's an ever growing library. [SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to continue growing it and making it more fruitful for everyone.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in that one, it gets really fun. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's a whole 10 day reset that you can do if you wanted to sweet set your body. [SPEAKER_03]: or there's like kind of a sauna boost you're talking about, you know, red light, sauna, whole punch, those are boosters that help also, if you're already doing the work, might as well do the PEMF side of it to really help get into the cells and get the benefits of that whole punch or the red light and all of that. [SPEAKER_03]: So inflammation is one of our biggest ones in the premium playlist.
[SPEAKER_03]: So inflammation has been one of the game changers for our athletes
[SPEAKER_03]: just general inflammation. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, I love the like immunity, too. [SPEAKER_02]: I think you guys have like a gut one. [SPEAKER_02]: There's immunity, like I could tell whenever, you know, especially with a back-to-school, like kids can start to get sick or even when they're coming over from camp, most kids are coming home sick. [SPEAKER_02]: I always will put that on my kids when I start to see a little something happening to sort of like catch it before it actually usually then [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to like jinx it, but they don't end up getting at full blown sick and same for myself.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you start to feel like a tiny scratch in their throat like you sit and it's so efficient. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm all about efficiency, you know, hang out with your family. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not something like big clunky thing. [SPEAKER_02]: It's I don't even know how come you like describe the size of it, the size of the disc is, I mean, it's smaller than [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the coil. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a soccer ball. [SPEAKER_02]: It's so, it's like a flat. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's like the width of maybe a soccer ball, but flat.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not that big if you can just visualize it. [SPEAKER_02]: And most sessions, they can range anywhere from, you can correct me if I'm wrong, but like on average, like seven minutes, you can do 24 minutes. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like you have to be like stuck on the couch for an hour, which I also like to. [SPEAKER_02]: You can kind of have like a quick boost and move on. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yeah, talking about immunity. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so the defense program.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's kind of our immunity program. [SPEAKER_03]: So I love to pair common defense. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just because Calm I feel like it's my buffer or like my primer for everything because it's almost like a constant nervous system in order to receive the frequencies that are coming next. [SPEAKER_03]: And so that defense, it just really does booster immunity. [SPEAKER_03]: It really really helps a lot and also nutrition and digestion. [SPEAKER_03]: Those are in the premium playlists, but nutrition is so good because a lot of times we don't get the nutrients that we should be getting from our foods and supplements.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're just not, you know, really taking it in. [SPEAKER_03]: So nutrition program really helps with that. [SPEAKER_03]: And along with digestion, from even kind of a preventative immunity standpoint because it helps with the gut, kind of clears anything that might be sitting there, that you need to release and reset your body. [SPEAKER_02]: I love that. [SPEAKER_02]: Are there any with PMF devices? [SPEAKER_02]: Are there any age restrictions? [SPEAKER_02]: Like do you say, should be a certain age or anything like that?
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, typically this is kind of a baseline over most PMF devices from what I've seen and even our company kind of stands by it is we just recommend for children under 14 to not use only because there's just not enough studies it's not because it's bad for the children or you know it's too powerful.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll speak for myself that you can then choose if you want to try it on your kids or not. [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's good as a company, of course, you have to protect yourself legally. [SPEAKER_02]: I loved your device, I think, because it was more gentle than it made me feel comfortable to use it on my kids who were when they were younger, beyond. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, I have a 15-year-old, but when they were before they were 14, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Because sometimes even for me, I don't always necessarily even feel it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I say that the technology doesn't always necessarily smack you in the face, per se. [SPEAKER_02]: Like I think people are used to like a shock or vibration, like something that's like a powle. [SPEAKER_02]: Like it's not like that. [SPEAKER_02]: Like when the machine is on, you don't even know it's on because it's working. [SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like listening to music. [SPEAKER_02]: You're not like hearing or feeling the sound waves. [SPEAKER_02]: That's right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: Do you agree with that? [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it is definitely made to be gentle. [SPEAKER_03]: You're not supposed to feel it. [SPEAKER_03]: You're not supposed to build a vibration or a heat. [SPEAKER_03]: And that is made on purpose. [SPEAKER_03]: So that is designed. [SPEAKER_03]: Our coil is very specifically designed. [SPEAKER_03]: So that every bit of frequency goes into the cells. [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't escape in vibration, it doesn't escape in heat.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going directly in the body. [SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, you're not going to feel like if you're doing compression, you're not going to feel the exterior pressure, right? [SPEAKER_03]: Because it's going into the cells. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's what the job it's supposed to be doing. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is basically cellular medicine, one-on-one, which I think is getting to the root root of where the true transformation potential happens is at the cellular level. [SPEAKER_02]: figure picture where is a hello going like where you guys when you guys focus on what's next.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, we are definitely continuously developing our premium playlists, so that's, we just want to provide more to our customers as much as we can, and eventually, you know, so we're kind of really growing our B2B market. [SPEAKER_03]: So we've been direct to consumers since day one. [SPEAKER_03]: Everything's been kind of online, purchased through our website. [SPEAKER_03]: And so never really growing our B2B market, which is mainly the universities, the professional ball NFL MLB.
[SPEAKER_03]: We have
[SPEAKER_03]: full advocates of EMF and how to better treat their players. [SPEAKER_03]: So that is kind of where we're really leaning into and we see so much potential there and not only that, but also all these recovery wellness centers that are probably not everywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, not a lot of them still don't have any EMF, so that's kind of our next step also to really get Halo's accessible to people to try, so that way you don't necessarily have to purchase a device right away. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you want to just
[SPEAKER_03]: And so to have it accessible for people in on our website, we do have a map showing practitioners that only that you can you can try it right now, but we want to grow that list so that way it's more accessible. [SPEAKER_02]: I love that. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that that's such a great plan because I think for most people who've maybe never heard this they're curious it's nice to go to a place to experience it because it is. [SPEAKER_02]: on the, you know, way it isn't a bit of an investment, but the way that I look at it is that you can go somewhere and try it, so I love that you guys have the map online, but then if you also are like, you know what I'm good, I'm ready to spring it into the home, but you look at it from like a cost standpoint, it's something that the whole family can enjoy and then you can actually use it more, I find for me, I prefer in the house because you can actually get more.
[SPEAKER_02]: frequent use out of it to gain get the benefits. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you find that the more you use it, the benefits start to compound? [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, for sure. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's the main thing is with the EMF is you have to be consistent. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, you can't just try it once and just say, I didn't do anything. [SPEAKER_03]: I did not try it again. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, you have to be consistent. [SPEAKER_03]: And if you want to serve outcome, if it is, you know, maybe a nervous nervous system reset or maybe it fits, you know, maybe it's a brain ball situation, whatever it is, the benefit, the program is there for that benefit.
[SPEAKER_03]: And if you use it consistently throughout the week, you're going to see a shift, but you got to be consistent. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: That's how we, that's the name of the game, consistent to be like choose one thing or choose a setting depending on what you have to work on and give it a chance. [SPEAKER_02]: Like give it at least I always say like give something two to four weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: So you can at least, you know, track it and write it down like whatever that is has to write it down to you have a place to refer back to because at least for me, like memories can be short, so at least you can see what is going back where can we find you.
[SPEAKER_02]: So people can go and check out Halo. [SPEAKER_02]: online. [SPEAKER_03]: H-A-E-L-O.com. [SPEAKER_03]: You could also go to our Instagram. [SPEAKER_03]: It's at Halo, P-E-M-F. And yeah, that's pretty much it. [SPEAKER_02]: And we will definitely link that in the show notes. [SPEAKER_02]: You definitely should go check it out. [SPEAKER_02]: And I always love to close out our conversations. [SPEAKER_02]: And this could be PMF related or not. [SPEAKER_02]: What is a one drop of wellness wisdom you like to leave with our listeners today?
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, goodness. [SPEAKER_03]: OK. Well, I will say, you don't need all the gadgets out there to start your wellness journey. [SPEAKER_03]: You could keep it simple. [SPEAKER_03]: And I think simple. [SPEAKER_03]: Simplicity and consistency are keys to get your wellness journey going and hopefully, you know, you start somewhere small and build that good habit and your routine continues to grow. [SPEAKER_02]: I love that. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, thank you so much for being on the well job today and to introduce us all to Halo.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it. [SPEAKER_02]: I use it at home and I definitely it is one of my topics for everybody's house. [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, remember.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you take three things with you today, let it be these number one, PEMF isn't a trend, 50 plus years of research over 10,000 published studies, NASA-level science, what's new is that it finally fits with you on your couch. [SPEAKER_02]: Number two, sleep and recovery are where you may feel it first. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is my two biggest things that I see with women. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's like all the time as well as with stress. [SPEAKER_02]: And remember, you're not going to always just feel it working, but staying consistent, you will start to see the results.
[SPEAKER_02]: And number three, consistency beats intensity, Bianca said it perfectly. [SPEAKER_02]: keep it simple, stay consistent, and start small. [SPEAKER_02]: If you're ready to upgrade your wellness at home, you can check out Hello. [SPEAKER_02]: They are inside the network, and we will also link it in the show notes. [SPEAKER_02]: And if you are not ready to buy yet, their site map will show you practitioners all around the U.S. that you can go and try it first. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll see you in the next drop.
